Indiaengineering, handles end-to-end disposal contracts with multinationals and corporates across India…

Pune – 10th August 2004, Indiaengineering, the leader in Procurement and Asset Disposal Services has signed a number of end-to-end Asset Disposal contracts with multinationals and corporates across India.

"Disposing of surplus assets is an important corporate need”, whether it is scrap, plant & machinery, Project leftovers or non moving inventory. Surplus assets take up space, tie up capital, deteriorate over time and negatively affect the company’s bottom line. The key issue is how to cost-effectively dispose off surplus to the highest bidder within a defined time. While businesses have been using traditional brick and mortar processes, these have failed in galvanizing mass participation and have suffered from the hands of cartels. Furthermore, these are not designed to handle the complexity and automation requirement of large companies and public sector agencies.

Effectively managing the sale of surplus assets takes professional sales planning, intelligent merchandising, and effective marketing. Indiaengineering combines all this with advanced technology and unparalleled liquidity represented by a national network of bulk surplus buyers. It has transformed the way businesses dispose off surplus assets by delivering increased returns and significant cost savings, reducing traditional risks, and removing the management burden from the organization.

Indiaengineering has recently signed end-to-end disposal contracts with the likes of SKF Bearings India Ltd, Cummins India Ltd, Daimler Chrysler and Electrolux. Each contract has a unique disposal requirement ranging from disposal of recurring scrap to plant and machinery to entire factory sweep disposal. SKF - an ISO 14000 company has stringent environmental requirements that need to be adhered to when it comes to the lifting of recurring scrap. As a part of the contract, our project managers work closely with the seller to ensure that they have optimal conditions to sell their assets. Criteria such as industry, geographic location, market conditions, and type of assets are examined to determine how to conduct an auction.

"Our customers need to be assured that their assets are being disposed off not only in an economical manner but also taking into account the various environmental aspects”, said Mr Manish Gupta, CEO, Indiaengineering. “Our extensive asset disposition experience and focus provides our clients with unique insights and sound strategic advice on surplus asset liquidation. Our categorisation and specification system for assets allows end-users to determine the suitability of equipment as compared to their needs. With higher end-user participation, we are able to consistently achieve higher realisations for our clients. With this we provide an unmatched level of service and value to our customers”, he added.

Since October 2000, Indiaengineering has conducted over 700 online disposal auctions with over 3500 individual lots. It has successfully sold assets worth Rs 300 crore across 100+ engineering asset categories, including machinery & equipments, recurring scrap, complete plants, project leftovers, secondary products and prime & non prime steel. .

The Company's current clients include prestigious companies such as Tata Steel, Hindustan Lever, Thermax, Greaves, Cummins, SKF Bearings, Daimler Chrysler, Electrolux, Kirlosker Oil Engines, Tata Motors, BPCL and Mazagaon Docks to name a few.
